Karmin Nissan, M.D.
Dr. Nissan is a double board certified pain management physician who joined our group in 2016. He received his undergraduate degree from Loyola University Chicago and his medical degree from the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University. He completed his residency at the University of Illinois Chicago Medical Center and subsequently did his fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of Illinois and Jesse Brown Veterans Affairs Medical Center where he underwent training in an interdisciplinary clinic with Psychology, Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Osteopathic Medicine. He specializes in interventional therapies with an interest in neuromodulation. Dr. Nissan has certifications in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine.
Dr. Nissan brings a worldly medical background to American Spine, having worked as a resident representative and international health volunteer in Vietnam and India, respectively. He also worked as a research assistant at the University of Illinois at Chicago during medical school and residency training. Dr. Nissan has presented at a number of regional and national conferences on various medical topics related to anesthesiology and pain management. Please join us in welcoming Dr. Nissan!
